This was a really moving story, Ray. Each character has so much depth. You capture a lot of Jacks experience too, which is compelling for someone like me who has no inkling of that experience. I enjoyed reading it!

I wrote it as short prose to enter it in a contest that @Starfire Codes does. It is fan fiction from a TV show I watched in the 80s. I wondered if a young readership would appreciate it. Maybe so. I'm considering doing a "season" of it once I get moved and settled. BTW, I do like what you're writing, but I can't Like or comment since I'm no longer on Wordpress. Anyway, keep it up.
